Community Connection offers an array of programs and services that address barriers to successful reentry and recovery.

Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Intervention and Anger Management: We operate one of San Diego County ’s largest Domestic Violence Intervention and Anger Management programs, and work with about 500 perpetrators each week in a 52-week court-ordered program. Community Connection is also a certified program in San Diego County offering Child Abuse Intervention services.

California Project New Start provides job development and retention services to parolees in San Diego County. Project New Start is a partnership between CDCR and the California Workforce Investment Board, and is funded through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Investment Act (WIA). Interested parolees can call for more information about enrolling in the program.

- Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
- Freedom House is
a 40-bed facility for women. Most residents are participating
in Drug Treatment Furlough from the CA Dept. of Corrections
and Rehabilitation or are on parole.
- Gemini House serves
up to 30 men on parole with co-occurring disorders (mental
illness and substance abuse). Residents stay for an average
6 months.
- Affirmation House serves
men released from state prison on parole participating in a
5 month program (SB 1453). Upon successful completion, graduates
are off parole.
- Freedom House is
a 40-bed facility for women. Most residents are participating
in Drug Treatment Furlough from the CA Dept. of Corrections
and Rehabilitation or are on parole.
- Outpatient Substance
Abuse Treatment and HIV Case Management: “Solutions” serves
primarily men and women on parole with up to six months of treatment.
Community members with substance abuse problems can pay for services
on a sliding scale.

- Multi-Service Housing
Project assists persons with HIV/AIDS to access transitional
housing and substance abuse treatment for 6 months. This program
serves approximately 30-40 persons annually.

- Clean and Sober Living: Community Connection provides housing and support for men and women, mostly parolees or graduates of our residential treatment. All residents must be actively maintaining their sobriety.
